Internship at Studio Simon Starling

The British artist Simon Starling is seeking an intern for his studio on Nørrebro.

The studio is working on a large-scale public art project for the new Odense University Hospital and we are looking for an intern who can carry out parts of the research and assist with the further development of the project.

The art project concerns the history of the use of plants in medicine and will draw on a selection of pre-existing floral fabric and wallpaper designs modified to interact with the function of their locations inside the hospital as well as the surrounding landscape.

As an intern you will be part of the daily life of an internationally oriented artist’s studio working closely with the studio manager. You will get practical experience with and insight into the process of developing and realising artworks.

We are seeking an intern who is committed, someone who is independent and self-motivated. A specific interest in and knowledge about textiles and design history is an advantage but not a requirement. Good English skills are required.

Send a short application letter and resume to Studio Manager, Maja McLaughlin, at maja@nullsimonstarling.net

Deadline for applications is October 24, 2016
