What are the potentials of tracking and sensor technologies in both academic research methodologies as well as in creating smarter and better urban environments?
Through a mix of research projects from the Centre for Mobilities and Urban Studies at Aalborg University and global references, in this talk we will elucidate and discuss the notion of ‘Smart City’ from the perspective of tracking technologies and responsive urban environments.
The workshop following the talk will focus on this double edge of ‘problems and potentials’ as this is a key future challenge when assessing the meaning of new performative and sentient technologies.
In the adjoining mini workshop the audience is invited into an open discussion of potentials and issues surrounding tracking technologies and responsive urban environments in the smart city.
