Katerina Gregos on the Danish Pavilion 19 June at 14.00

Gregos vil fortælle om sit projekt i Venedig, som viser 18 kunstnere fra forskellige generationer og nationer, fra den tjekkiske filminstruktør Jan Švankmajer og den amerikanske bladtegner Robert Crumb til de yngre danske kunstnere Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen og FOS (Thomas Poulsen). Gregos har valgt ytringsfrihed som tema for projektet. Udstillingen, med titlen Speech Matters, har til formål at problematisere spørgsmålet om ytringsfrihed samt undersøge de forskellige aspekter og kompleksiteter forbundet hermed, set ud fra såvel et nationalt som et globalt perspektiv. Gregos will talk about her project in Venice, which features eighteen artists of different generations and nationalities, from the Czech filmmaker Jan Švankmajer and the American cartoonist Robert Crumb to the younger Danish artists Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen and FOS (Thomas Poulsen). Gregos has chosen freedom of speech as the theme of the project, and the exhibition, entitled Speech Matters, aims to
complicate the question of freedom of speech and to examine its different aspects and problematics, both from a national and a global perspective. Gregos will be in conversation with Mark Sladen, Charlottenborg’s director. (In English).
