SOLVE FUTURE PROBLEMS
At this moment 80.000 people suffer from dementia throughout Denmark. This amounts to the entire population of the city of Roskilde, Skanderborg and Ribe combined. On a global scale up to 50 million people suffer from symptoms, such as loss of memory, loss of language, loss of visual perception, and reasoning. This number will only increase dramatically in the years to come. Dementia is a huge problem for the victioms, their families but also society. In simple numbers, the cost is more than 800 billion dollars each year. The question is: How do you design spaces or interior for people without memory, language, visual perception or reasoning?

MULTIDISCIPLINARY INNOVATION
A new city entirely for people living with dementia is being planned. At DAY LAB#2 we invite you to a multidisciplinary innovation process, with focus on nudging and wayfinding, in collaboration with Byen for Livet, Odense Municipality, Creature, Danish Architecture Centre and OK-Fonden.
