PRAKTIKANT/VOLUNTEERS søges til projekt under Metropolis Festivalen, København august 2009.

We search for dancers, performers or movers to help us giving Hula Hoop dance workshop to different community groups of Copenhagen.
‘Vertical Exile – Copenhagen’ consist of different workshops leading to performances created with artists from different art disciplines in collaboration with the Copenhagen community (Nørrebro, Vesterbro, Amager,…). The first part of the process consist of giving workshops: ‘Mapping/Photography’, ‘Hula Hoop dance’ & ‘Mapping Movements’, experiencing the city together and through which we will collect information of how people ‘think’ about the city, the way they use it, the way they which the city to be, dream of, change, etc. The second part will be an interactive performance involving movements, illustration and sound.
The requirements of volunteers are:
– Learn to use the Hula Hoop; 4 days rehearsals (2 hours/day), the first week and last week of June. Dates will be define after signing up.
– Give Hula hoop workshops to the community (indoor and outdoor), during the first 2 weeks of August. Dates will be define in June.
