On December 18th the record label ILK will release their first music film, KLUBBHUS. The Scandinavian orchestra Sekten bring their cross-over art of lyrics, compositions, chaos and a strong visual profile into play with this film. It is made in collaboration with one of Denmarks celebrated young documentary directors, Sofie Tønsberg.
Sound and music as a form of communication is explored in KLUBBHUS in a cultish atmosphere with both eccentric and bizarre elements.
Sekten says:
”Ever since the creation of Sekten in 2003, we have been concerned about making the concert experience an entity in itself. An absolute performance where we create a hook that drags the audience into Sektens universe, through a symbiotic harmony of both the auditory and the visual aspects… from which they have no way out.This is the reason why it has been a great wish for Sekten to express ourselves on film. A medium which creates possibilities to document a moment in our investigation of the cross over between music and performance”

ILK Music are looking foward to release KLUBBHUS. An inventive music film that combines Sektens experimenting sound space with their strong visual expression. Since winning the Danish Music Award for their debut album Annars är det tyst from 2006 Sekten went on to release the much celebrated album ”Mägtiga Vingar” in 2009. Both on the ILK Music label.
